F.acT: After a 3-year break, Skinnovation 2023 started up again. What innovations were there this year?
Kathrin Treutinger: In addition to the classic concept of the only startup conference on Ski- where ideas are pitched at the ski lift or network there alongside a comprehensive lecture program at the ski huts - this year saw the first Alpine & Sport Tech Day on 16 March. This day was aimed specifically at participants from the fields of sport, tourism and alpine technologies and offered a Startup Fair, exciting talks, workshops and the opportunity to network with investors and companies.
F.acT: In addition to the ski lift pitches, talk sessions and networking activities, there are always lots of exciting presentations. What did you take away for yourself this year?
Kathrin Treutinger: The keynote speech by Benedikt Mayer, former ski star and Olympic athlete, who is now an entrepreneur, certainly deserves special mention. He spontaneously stood in for Eko Fresh, who had to cancel due to Corona. Benedikt gave exciting insights into how he transferred skills he had learned in sport to his entrepreneurial activities and found his new passion here.
F.acT: The Skinnovation concludes with the Pitch Final. Which start-ups stood out this year?
