The online and offline worlds are increasingly merging and forming a variety of connections. Augmented reality technologies, for example, place a layer "on top of reality" and add a digital layer to physical reality. This is accompanied by a new understanding of reality: it no longer distinguishes between "real" and "digital", but considers the interaction of both dimensions holistically.
