Digitalization and climate-friendly local mobility

Digitally mobile - active on site

Digitally mobile - active on site
The project, funded by the state of Tyrol, is investigating how digital communication can promote climate-friendly mobility locally. The aim is to reduce motorized traffic - to protect the environment and promote health. Active mobility strengthens the body and mind, creates new leisure activities such as themed trails or playful elements and supports key sustainability goals of the 2030 Agenda, such as climate protection and liveable cities.

A series of research projects is investigating what motivates people to be active and what obstacles exist. It is also analyzing how communication needs to be designed in order to promote mobility and experience value. The findings will help to implement practical and sustainable solutions.

The research series includes the following studies:

  • Drivers and barriers to the development of climate-friendly on-site mobility in Alpine tourism
  • Influence of targeted social media marketing on the choice of means of transportation during vacations
  • Motivators and barriers to the choice of climate-friendly local mobility in the context of "gondola talks"
  • Climate-friendly mobility offers in the Landeck project area
