F.acT: How did the idea of Herzregion come about?
Ramona Bostelaar: Herzregion was founded in 2016/17 by Kitzbühel native Oliver Allmoslechner with the aim of presenting regional companies via digital channels and creating a local experience platform. In April 2020, TrendView GmbH, a digital agency based in Koblenz, decided to invest in Herzregion.at and thus contribute to the growth of the platform.
F.acT: To what extent is the project linked to Tyrolean tourism?
Ramona Bostelaar: Our goal is to digitalize the beautiful Kitzbühel region and to support regional businesses in the area of online marketing. This also includes making regional retailers, restaurateurs and hoteliers fit for the future with a professional online presence. Herzregion is the ideal solution for this. Entrepreneurs increase their online reach and increase the number of points of contact with customers. This should bring customers from the region back to local businesses and thus stop the extinction of smaller local businesses. After all, they are what make the region around Kitzbühel what it is - a true heart region.
F.acT: Who is the project aimed at and how can companies become part of it?
Ramona Bostelaar: With Herzregion, we offer a platform on which companies and content from the region are presented. We create an appealing online presence for companies listed there, give them the opportunity to find new employees, present both offers and events and also promote each partner on our social media channels. This not only allows companies to quickly and easily increase their reach, but also to expand their group of potential customers.
On the other hand, customers also gain new opportunities: The platform offers a comprehensive overview of local businesses and regional trades can be supported at the same time. To become part of the Herzregion, entrepreneurs can choose between different packages and simply book them online at herzregion.at. The entry can then be booked either independently or via our investment service. In the latter case, we take care of the work involved and publish the business profile after consultation with the business owner.
F.acT: What is expected for the future? What other heart regions are planned?
Ramona Bostelaar: In the future, we would like to expand the Herzregion network in Austria and establish Herzregionen throughout the German-speaking world. This means that we would like to bring together a large number of local retailers, restaurateurs, hoteliers and entrepreneurs on a regional basis and offer them the opportunity to present themselves digitally in addition to their stationary store. We also want to ensure that both the local and digital shopping experience merge beyond the borders of Kitzbühel and Austria without losing the regional connection to the retailers. We are currently transporting the concept to Germany and hope to launch the first Herzregion here soon.
