The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) is an international organization with 38 member states that are committed to democracy and a market economy. Most OECD members belong to countries with a high per capita income and are considered developed countries. Based in Paris, France, the OECD also provides comprehensive reports on the economic situation in various countries, which are available on the Internet: Economic development, employment, demographic data, the role of the public sector, statistics on the environment, energy, agriculture and health can be found for all kinds of countries, not just member countries.
