The Netherlands in the tourism year 2023/24
The Netherlands is one of Tirol's most important source markets. In the 2023/24 tourism year, 11% of all overnight stays in Tyrol were attributable to Dutch guests. Winter is clearly the strongest travel period at 68%.
Tyrol remains the most important federal state with 55% of Dutch overnight stays in winter and 40% in summer.
In winter 2023/24, 677,704 arrivals (+1.3 %) and 3,683,944 overnight stays (±0.0 %) were recorded. In summer 2024, the Netherlands recorded 404,085 arrivals (+1.0 %) and 1,699,163 overnight stays (-1.7 %).
Over the entire tourism year, there were 1,081,789 arrivals (+1.2 %) and 5,383,107 overnight stays (-0.5 %). The length of stay was 5.4 days in winter and 4.2 days in summer.
The economic situation remains stable: GDP per capita € 63,030, unemployment rate 3.7 %, inflation 3.2 %, population 17.9 million (forecast to remain constant until 2030).
