Swiss and Liechtenstein guests play an important role in Tyrolean tourism. In the Tyrolean guest mix, the market ranks 4th in summer (5.5%) and 5th in winter (4%). 52% of all Swiss people who spend their vacation in Austria choose Tyrol as their destination.

This is supported by high purchasing power: GDP per capita was € 96,020 in 2024. The population is 8.96 million and will increase slightly by 2030.

In winter 2023/24, 258,927 arrivals (+1.8 %) and 1,018,772 overnight stays (+0.5 %) were registered.
In summer 2024, 326,052 arrivals (-2.0 %) and 1,227,936 overnight stays (-2.9 %) were recorded.

The entire tourism year 2023/24 accounted for 584,979 arrivals (-0.4 %) and 2,246,708 overnight stays (-1.3 %). The length of stay is 3.9 days in winter and 3.8 days in summer.
