Mobility in tourism
Mobility in Tyrolean tourism is a decisive factor for the attractiveness of destinations and a central element of travel planning, which includes both arrival and departure as well as mobility on site. In Tyrol, the car is the most popular means of transport with around 75% of guests, especially in rural regions, while the number of rail travelers has risen to 9%, which could be due to the growing environmental awareness of guests, among other things. Mobility is considered to be the main driver of climate change through tourism, which is why a development towards climate-friendly mobility is essential.
