Q.acT: What is the usability test dinner and who can take part?
Jessica Eibert: At the usability test dinner, developers and users come together to test the usability of prototypes, websites and apps. There is also beer and pizza and a lively exchange of ideas. The evening is free for all participants and serves to support local companies in gathering feedback to make their products more user-friendly.
F.acT: Which products or services have been tested so far?
Jessica Eibert: We have welcomed an exciting mix of products to the test dinner so far. In terms of digital products, we've already tested everything from bike apps to booking processes, but physical products are also facing the critical eyes of users. We have already tested wooden ties and the Weezl, a small electric car. Basically, you can test everything, as well as the validity of a brochure or just an idea.
F.acT: What is special about the usability test dinner and why could this also be an exciting approach for Tyrolean tourism entrepreneurs or destinations?
Jessica Eibert: The test dinner is a unique opportunity to get feedback from real users. At the test dinner, a product is scrutinized in 6 rounds of speed testing and the results are always eye-opening for the participating companies and start-ups.
Especially in the tourism sector, the customer experience is the be-all and end-all. And this starts with the onboarding and booking process. In addition, the first impression is the most important, so we advise all tourism companies or destinations to test their websites. There are always questions that users ask themselves or uncertainties that even the project team could never even imagine.
We therefore welcome all tourism professionals who want to further improve their service and cordially invite you to the usability test dinner on January 24 at Werkstätte Wattens!
