Czech Republic in the tourism year 2023/24
The Czech Republic is one of Tyrol's fastest-growing source markets. In the guest mix, the country ranks 9th in summer (1.3%) and 7th in winter (2.2%). 23 % of all Czech overnight stays in Austria are accounted for by Tirol.
The market is clearly dominated by winter, accounting for 63-65 % of all overnight stays. The Czech population has a stable economic structure with a GDP per capita of € 29,280 and 10.9 million inhabitants (2024).
In winter 2023/24, 140,222 arrivals (+1.9 %) and 558,611 overnight stays (+0.8 %) were achieved.
In summer 2024, the Czech Republic recorded 98,564 arrivals (+8.9 %) and 327,792 overnight stays (+10.2 %).
For the entire tourism year 2023/24, this results in a total of 238,786 arrivals (+4.7 %) and 886,403 overnight stays (+4.1 %). The length of stay remains stable at 4 days in winter and 3.3 days in summer.
