After successfully completing his bachelor's degree in computer science in Innsbruck, Johannes Ehrhart promptly joined the family business CASABLANCA hotelsoftware and became involved in software development. After managing the technical fortunes of the Schönwies-based software company for several years as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), he has been pursuing the vision of revolutionizing the hotel industry with efficient and innovative tools as Chief Operating Officer (CCO) since 2025.

Johannes Ehrhart: At CASABLANCA hotelsoftware, sustainability is a central component of our corporate philosophy. Our commitment to the environment is reflected in a wide range of measures aimed at minimizing our ecological footprint and shaping a sustainable future.
One major step towards environmentally friendly mobility is the conversion of our vehicle fleet to electric vehicles. Employees have access to charging stations at the workplace, which not only promotes the use of electric cars, but also reduces CO₂ emissions. In our offices, we use clearly marked waste separation systems to promote recycling and minimize waste. Every contribution counts, and by consistently separating waste, we make an important contribution to environmental protection. The option of working from home reduces our employees' commuting, which in turn leads to a reduction in CO₂ emissions. Flexible working therefore contributes directly to climate protection and at the same time supports the work-life balance of our team.
We attach great importance to conscious consumption and focus on sustainable, regional food in our canteen. By sourcing food from the region, we strengthen local suppliers and reduce transportation routes. We also take care to minimize food waste, for example by offering smaller portions and making good use of surplus food. Our buildings are equipped with modern, energy-efficient technologies. Automated systems for lighting and air conditioning ensure that energy is only used where and when it is actually needed. This reduces energy consumption and conserves valuable resources. An outstanding example of our commitment is the CASABLANCA hotelsoftware campus. Sustainability was at the forefront of the planning and implementation of this project. The campus is powered by a large-scale photovoltaic system on the roof of the building, while an air-to-water heat pump provides environmentally friendly heating and cooling for the premises.
