Complex technical terms, explained simply
Die Bettenauslastung (auch: Nutzungsgrad der Betten) gibt die durchschnittliche Auslastung der Betten in Prozent an. Hierzu wird die tatsächliche mit der maximalen Bettenbelegung in Relation gesetzt. Die maximale Bettenkapazität ergibt sich aus dem Produkt der aufgestellten Betten und der Anzahl der Kalendertage im Berichtsjahr. Die tatsächliche Bettenbelegung entspricht der Summe der Berechnungs- und Belegungstage, da jeder Patient bzw. jede Patientin pro vollstationärem Tag in der Einrichtung ein Bett belegt.Der Nutzungsgrad der Betten bzw. die Bettenauslastung wird anhand der folgenden Formel ermittelt:
Durchschnittliche Bettenauslastung = Berechnungs- und Belegungstage/(Aufgestellte Betten x Kalendertage) x 100

Omni-channeling refers to a company's cross-channel presence. In addition to physical locations, digital channels such as websites, social media, live web chats and apps are used to offer a consistent customer journey. Orchestrating the various channels will be essential in the future in order to engage or remain in contact with customers.

Online or internet travel agencies (such as booking, Expedia, etc.), where guests can book their trip at the click of a mouse. The globally active OTAs give hotels a global presence. In return, the online travel agencies charge commissions and often try to dictate the conditions to the hotels. In recent years, OTAs have developed so much market power that hotels find it difficult to do without them.

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) is an international organization with 38 member states that are committed to democracy and a market economy. Most OECD members belong to countries with a high per capita income and are considered developed countries. Based in Paris, France, the OECD also provides comprehensive reports on the economic situation in various countries, which are available on the Internet: Economic development, employment, demographic data, the role of the public sector, statistics on the environment, energy, agriculture and health can be found for all kinds of countries, not just member countries.
