A German word for pinkwashing would be Schönfärberei. The connection to the LGBTQI* movement is established through the pink part of the word. It describes a marketing strategy of people, institutions, companies or even states that want to appear modern, progressive and enlightened. Their ostensibly tolerant attitude towards the queer community conceals actions that run counter to this. In short: pinkwashing is a marketing lie.

In the summer of 2021, pinkwashing was replaced by the term rainbowwashing. During the European Men's Football Championship, numerous companies adorned themselves with rainbow colors for a short time. This was to be seen as an act of solidarity against the Hungarian government's homophobic legislation and the ban by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) on lighting up Munich's Allianz Arena in the colors of the rainbow during the match between Germany and Hungary. The term rainbowwashing is used to cast doubt on whether there is actually support for solidarity in the respective corporate culture.

Our hyper-connected world with its high level of complexity and constant surprises requires playfulness - a playful way of thinking and acting. Open-ended, explorative experimentation, trial-and-error and the understanding of failure as feedback make up the playful approach through which we learn complex things as children. This playfulness needs to be reactivated in all areas of adult life.

If a person does not have enough money to adequately cover it´s expenses for living, it is considered poor. Poverty in old age is particularly critical because, as people get older, those affected have fewer and fewer opportunities to escape themselves from financial hardship on their own. This is often gender related as, on average, women in Germany receive 46% less pension fund than men.

The problem is that women often lack independent retirement provisions. Even at a higher age, women often dependent on alimony payments from their husbands. Their pension funds make up the majority of the household income and compensate for the women's insufficient retirenmental income. Single parents, on the other hand, are disproportionately affected by poverty in old age. Due to the manifold possible constellations, the issue of poverty at a higher age is very complex.
