Complex technical terms, explained simply

Web analytics refers to the evaluation of data collected by means of tracking. Many search engines, websites and social networks use it to analyze the usage behavior of a person on the Internet, for example to place targeted advertising or improve their own Internet presence.

Wellness is a state of health in which body, mind and soul are in harmony. Essential elements are self-responsibility, fitness and body care, healthy nutrition, relaxation, mental activity/education as well as social relationships and environmental sensitivity.based on this definition, wellness tourism is defined as follows: "[...] travel and stay of persons with the main motive of maintaining and promoting their health. The stay takes place in a specialized hotel with appropriate expertise and individual care, offering a comprehensive package of services consisting of the following elements: Fitness/body care, healthy nutrition, relaxation, mental activity/education."

WIFO is the leading institute in the field of applied empirical economic research in Austria. Founded in 1927 by Friedrich August von Hayek and Ludwig von Mises, the institute analyzes and forecasts Austrian and international economic developments. WIFO is a non-profit organization and is independent of politics and business in its scientific activities. The results of its studies serve to substantiate economic policy and business decisions and to objectify the economic policy debate.

WIFO provides comprehensive information on the development of the Austrian economy free of charge on its homepage under the title "WIFO Economic Data". The "Tourism" chapter contains directly printable tables that are updated daily and provide information on overnight stays (by country of origin, type of accommodation, winter and summer season) and on payment flows in travel.

Workation is a combination of the English terms for work ("work") and vacation ("vacation"). It refers to the hybrid version of a vacation stay or a shorter or longer trip that also includes work phases (Werther, 2021, p. 152). Digital nomads, on the other hand, are on the road for a longer period of time.

Workplace adaptation refers to measures that make a workplace accessible for people with disability, tailoring it specifically to their needs. The aim is to make it easier for people with disabilities to find a new job or secure an existing one by adapting the working environment to their specific requirements. This can be achieved through technical aids, modifications, or other adjustments to improve working conditions for people with disability and promote their participation in working life.
